Hypothesis: Sharing practice with peers raises confidence and increases motivation.
This simple, ongoing experiment builds on findings and suggestions from an initial #10Experiments meeting with some of our artist educators, who told us they would like more opportunities to share practice. Through a series of meetings and conversations we are gauging appetite and collecting evidence for different models of sharing practice, gaining feedback and peer support between Bow Arts artist educators and the wider education team. This light-touch intervention informs a longer term, more structured programme of support for artist educators, and is designed to complement the more formal Bow Skills programme.
Our pilot Artist Educator Trainee Programme runs from September 2016 - March 2017, designed to support emerging artist educators through opportunities to shadow and be mentored by more experienced practitioners.
