Bow Arts are pleased to announce this opportunity to exhibit in one of our most exciting and recent sites. Icehouse Court is a beautifully designed space that is characteristically public facing and architecturally fascinating. We are looking for submissions that will engage the local community of Barking and consider the history in this area of London. Surrounded by artists who have studios with us, this is a brilliant opportunity to meet other creatives and contribute to the ongoing project to artistically animate this particular area.
Considered mediums would be (but not limited to): performance, painting, digital works, installation and sculpture. Due to the nature of the space with large amounts of natural light, film and projection would not be suitable. The available exhibition space is between 468-1000 square feet, with floor to ceiling windows complete with shelving which could be used for displays. The selected artist will be responsible for invigilating the show.
Exhibition dates are 5th October- 16th (ending date negotiable). The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan will be visiting this site on the morning of Thursday 6th October to view the site and the exhibition.
Submissions should include:
Exhibition proposal (500 words), Images of previous work (4 jpeg max) & CV
Submission Deadline: Monday 19th September 10am, shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Wednesday the 21st September.
