The Gentle Author of Spitalfields Life gives an illustrated talksurveying the evolution of painting in the East End and tracing the changing nature of the streets through the last century.
Set in The Working Artist – the current exhibition of paintings by the East London Group at the Nunnery Gallery – in a broad historical context, the lecture includes works by John Allin, S. R.
