Doors will be open from 12pm-6pm on Saturday on 21st September.

The Lakeside Centre will be taking part in Open House Festival 2024. This is a chance to explore one of London’s most iconic brutalist buildings, an architectural gem that has captured the imagination of visitors and filmmakers.

On the day, the Lakeside Centre will come alive with creativity and community spirit. There is something for everyone to enjoy: from drop-in workshops lead by talented local artists, to captivating art installations. Visitors are invited to find inspiration wandering through the studios, and interacting with the artists where they work. On the day, local artists will be selling artwork, gifts, and more.

The kitchen & bar at Thamesmead Social will be open to the public throughout the event, where visitors can enjoy drinks, food and stunning views from Southmere Lake.

Meet the Artists

Over 30 artists will have their work on display, and their studios open for visitors to explore.
