Open Studios: Artist Spotlight, Carrie Foulkes

Submitted by Nunnery Gallery on Wed, 13/04/2016 - 16:32

First of our series of artist spotlights in the lead up to the 2016 Open Studios season is artist Carrie Foulkes from the ArtSpace site at St Katharine's.

Carrie’s interdisciplinary artistic practice moves across collage and painting, site-specific installations and interventions, book arts and poetry. Her current work is focused on themes of non-linearity, chance and interconnectivity. She has been working on a series of collages entitled "Ecology".

She holds a BA in Philosophy from Columbia University in New York, and recently completed an MA in Poetic Practice at Royal Holloway, University of London. She was awarded the Royal Holloway Emerging Writer Fellowship in 2014 and was granted a one-month residency at Cove Park, Scotland.
