Bow Skills Lab: Build a Stunning Wix Website

Thursday, April 11, 2019
Bow Arts Trust, 183 Bow Road, London E3 2SJ

Learn how to build a website with Certified Wix Webmaster Sian Ellis-Thomas, who will introduce the fundamentals of a successful website, as well as run a practical workshop on how to use the Wix web platform.

Wix is the fastest growing cloud-based web building platform which allows you to build a stunning, professional website for free, using only drag and drop tools. Come and see how to build a brand new Wix website, or get some tips on how to improve your existing platform.

This workshop will be beneficial for anyone looking to improve their digital presence, even if you already have an existing website on a different platform. Sian will offer new tips and tricks on how to instill confidence in your customers, as well as a unique ‘site plan’ that will make it easier for visitors to navigate through your website. She will show you how to use the Wix editor to help you create pages, link your social media, add interactive photo galleries, set up customer subscriptions and even create your own logo.

Bow Arts seeks to support creative professionals at all stages of their careers. In 2015 Bow Arts launched Bow Skills in response to an artist survey which showed over 90% of practicing artists find it useful to receive further support outside formal education. Bow Skills is a dynamic and relevant programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) which is informed by an artist steering group and open to all creative practitioners across London. The programme of talks, panel discussions, new skills labs and peer crits is open to all, with concession rates available to Bow Arts artists and students.

Sian Ellis-Thomas is a Wix Ambassador for London who builds websites for a living. She has a graphic design degree, and draws experience from a thirty-five year career in sales and marketing.

Attendees must bring their own laptop if they wish to take part in the practical workshop. Tablets are NOT compatible. Participants can also come along to listen and take notes, but please note that no spare laptops will be available should you then wish to build a website during the workshop.

Workshop includes a Wix discount voucher worth £50+
