Haidée Drew | Rhythm

14 January 2020 – 29 March 2020

‘Rhythm’ is a new collection of evolving objects and reflective artworks developed out of the desire to re-connect with the day’s natural rhythm. The balance of bold colours and faceted forms aim to invite through observation a sense of mindfulness.

The sculptural works on show have been developed using a non-toxic acrylic and marble composite with unique pigmentation, the large mirror finish sculptural works have been fabricated from titanium coated steel.

Haidée Drew trained in metalwork and silversmithing at the Royal College of Art establishing her studio in 2009 she worked with Heals, Liberty and the Conran Shop as well as many independent galleries to create homewares under her own brand.

Haidée’s practice now firmly sits between the realms of art and design working across sculpture, product, interiors, installation, curation and education. Her ongoing exploration of playful participation and spatial composition has been a continuous theme throughout her practice.

Haidee also runs regular creative workshops across London including jesmonite casting from her studio at Bow Rd. You can purchase a voucher for one of these workshops in the Nunnery Café, and see what dates are available here.

Haidée has a studio in Bow Arts’ Bow Road site. This is the third exhibition in a new series of shows in the Nunnery Cafe which showcase affordable works of art from Bow Arts artists. All works are for sale and available to buy on the Own Art scheme, allowing buyers to spread the cost of artwork over 10 months, with the benefit of an interest-free loan.  Find out about previous exhibition artists here.
