The SS Alice - Art in The Docks

Together, local artist Christopher Mike and sculptor Vincenzo Muratore invite you to come and listen to the sad story of the sinking of the SS Alice at Gallions Reach. On Tuesday, 3rd September 1878, hundreds of innocent souls were tragically drowned in the greatest loss of life in any British inland waterway shipping accident. This event is designed to commemorate and celebrate their lives.

Join us for the second iteration of our informal group crit to present your practice and get personalised pricing advice and feedback from art advisor, gallerist and curator Claudia Kennaugh, founder of Art & People. In this session, Kennaugh will start by sharing her professional experience as a gallerist and curator, before facilitating group discussions and giving individual feedback to participating artists. Artists will be invited to bring 3 examples of their work to the workshop, either physically or digitally.

Bow Road Summer Makers Market

Join us this July for our Bow Road Summer Makers Market. We’ll be celebrating east London’s local makers in our vibrant outdoor courtyard, with a selection of locally made gifts and artworks for sale by Bow Arts’ artists. 

In place of our annual 2021 Bow Road Open Studios, we’re inviting you to safely browse over 20 stalls each day, offering a variety of wares including small gifts, prints, cards, jewellery, home wares, original artworks and ceramics.
