The Eggman is pleased to welcome J D Swann, a leading ornithological investigator to the Exbury Egg for the first series of our workshops taking place between August-September, who will present the first of four interactive workshops asking, ‘What are the characteristics of the ‘typical’ Thamesmead bird?’. You may decide on your favourite beak, head, neck, wings, tail feathers, leg and feet and make collages from their images.
J D Swann (also appears courtesy of Calum F Kerr) is also open to all bird stories; about the Swans on Southmere Lake, Rose-Ringed Parakeets, Grebes, Coots and Cormorants. From the workshop, he will create a free poster of the “typical” Thamesmead bird to be available locally (and from the Exbury Egg) from October.
Workshops are free to attend, and you’re welcome to drop in at any time or stay for the afternoon.
All materials are provided, each event is suitable for all ages but children must be accompanied by an adult.
