Join us in Bow Arts’ outdoor Courtyard for a talk about the Own Art buying scheme, and learn specifically about how Bow Arts artists can use and benefit from this fantastic initiative. This will be great opportunity to hear directly from Own Art representatives and Bow Arts staff, to learn how Own Art can help you sell your artwork.
Own Art is a national initiative that makes buying contemporary art and craft affordable by providing interest-free loans for the purchase of original work. Established in 2004 by Creative United, the Own Art scheme has enabled more than 50,000 customers to get access to the art they love. Supported by Arts Council England, Creative Scotland and Arts Council of Northern Ireland, it is designed to make it easy and affordable for everyone to own high quality contemporary art and craft. Own Art will enable buyers to spread the cost of artwork priced from £100 to £2,500 over 10 monthly instalments, with the benefit of an interest-free loan.
Bow Arts is a member of Own Art and can facilitate sales through the scheme for Bow Arts studio artists, housing holders and artist educator community. Join this in-person presentation on Tuesday 6 July in our covered outdoor courtyard to learn how Own Art can work for you.
There will be talks from Stephen Tribbel, Membership Development Manager for Own Art and Take it away, and Lorna Jones, Programmes Officer for Own Art & Take it away, as well as a chance to speak with Sophie Hill, Director of Arts & Events at Bow Arts, about the scheme. Come along with any questions you may have about the scheme itself, or about Bow Arts’ membership.
An Own Art information sheet with full details of the process is available here.
The event will take place outdoors in Bow Arts' courtyard, with COVID-19 safety measures in place. You can read our COVID-19 access statement here.
Please email us at email@example.com if you have any questions. If there is demand, we may be able to offer a recording of the event for those unable to attend. Email us if this is the case.
