How can empathy have a lasting presence in the community?
What is the legacy of the Campaign for Empathy?

The Campaign for Empathy is the world’s first community-centered campaign to promote empathy at the time of Brexit uncertainty. Run by Finnish London-based Empathy Artist Enni-Kukka Tuomala since March 2019 across the London borough of Newham, centered around the Campaign Headquarters at RAW Labs. For the last 7 months Enni-Kukka has engaged local communities and local decision makers, hosting workshops, events, exhibitions and staging an Empathy Rally in the Royal Docks in June as a part of the official programme for the London Festival of Architecture.

This final exhibition wraps the campaign by presenting the narrative of what happened, when, where and with whom over the course of the 7 month long campaign, sharing campaign materials, artworks, photos and videos, as well as unveiling the outcomes of the campaign for the first time: a collection of empathy tools for citizenship, and the Newham for Empathy - public artwork funded by the GLA as a part of the Join the Docks Festival.
