In this workshop you will be given an introduction to varied techniques and approaches to monoprinting and colour theory, creative writing and poetry, drawing inspiration from symbolist, surrealist or concrete writing techniques to create your own unique handmade zines.
This creative printing workshop will invite participants to explore what colours bring to mind with expert guidance from Justine and Jamie to combine colours, textures, letters and words on pages and bound together. You will gain an insight into printing processes and how they are used by artists and makers, with the workshop covering a range of experimental approaches exploring colour, poetry, zines, monoprinting and bookbinding.
At times Justine Marzack is a writer, anthropologist and musician, although she is also known to go by the title of ‘International Travelling Nanny of Mystery’ having spent years on the road nannying for rockstars. Her creative practice is as varied as her life experiences; spanning poetry, song writing, novels and non-fiction.
