Join us on Saturday 22nd July to peek inside the studios at Essex House!

In this amazing building, you have the opportunity to meet the fantastic variety of artists that are based here. With a large number of designers, this is perfect place to find out about how our artists got started in the industry and how they are developing their practice, right in the heart of Stratford.

There will be a range of activities including workshops and tours, as well as drinks and cake available, so come and join us.


Events and Workshops Programme:

(Studio 26, 12:00pm - 6.00pm)

'And Noah the Human' with Jojo Hynes, Annelie Fawke and Cariad Hancock,

For the Essex House Open Studios 'and Noah the Human' will create a multi disciplinary art event using sound, sculpture and visuals to explore the theme 'Journey to the centre of the Earth'. Jojo Hynes, Annelie Fawke and Cariad Hancock collaborate on an art YouTube channel called 'and Noah the Human' follow the link to see our under the sea expedition.

(1st Floor Communal Space, 3.00pm - 5.00pm)

DIY Protest Art Workshop with CW Stubbs

Join CW Stubbs for a creative workshop in DIY protest art. Join the discussion on the use of slogans and sayings and play with a variety of popular imagery to have the chance to create your own piece of decoupage protestART.

(1st Floor Communal Space, 12.00pm - 3.00pm)

Learn how to create a hand-drawn repeating pattern - no computer needed! with Silvia Ospina Amaya

We are also running free tours of selected artist studios at 2pm and 4pm, if you are interested in coming, please book here

How to find us: 

Bow Arts Stratford Studios are well served by public transport, just 5 minutes from Stratford Station with Main Line rail, Overground, DLR and Central and Jubilee Lines.

Stratford High St DLR station is 1 minute away, and the area has the following buses stopping nearby: 25, 86, 108, 425, D8, 257, 308, 104, 238, 241, 262, 158, 473, 276, UL1 and 69

Visitor Information: 

The studios are not easily accessible for those with limited mobility, or requiring the use of a wheelchair. There is no lift access.There is no parking on site.
