Hereafter Exhibition is a show organised by Bow Arts presenting work from recent graduates. Alongside the exhibition opportunity at our Project Space in Wapping, Bow Arts are providing some application feedback to those selected. Choosing from a wide range of media, Hereafter showcases the concerns and topics our next generation of artists are exploring today. From perceptions of places to representing the void, these select artists are delving into abstract concerns with tangible results and succinct communication- not an easy achievement for those at the beginning of their career.
Historically, creatives have commented on trends within society either with a dystopian outlook or indeed with a touch of satire. The issues artists are dealing with today are the problems our previous generations have left behind; excessive consumerism, reliance on the internet and self-criticism. The playful way in which they present these issues is a reoccuring theme throughout the show. Participants have studied at Chelsea College of Art, Goldsmiths, City and Guilds and The Royal College of Art respectively.
The show will run from Thursday 16th - Saturday 25th November at Project Space Wapping at our Rum Factory studios.
Opening times are: Weds-Saturday 1.30-5.30pm
There will be a closing event with talks, Q+A and workshops on Saturday 25th November.
