(Various venues please see below)
A number of Bow Arts studio sites will be open as part of Open House London on Saturday 17th September. Ranging from ex News Of The World offices and an ex rum warehouse to brand new developments in Barking, this is your chance to go behind the scenes of the fascinating buildings that house our creative community of over 500 artists, designers and makers.
Open House: IceHouse Court - 10.00 - 17.00

IceHouse Court in Barking is one of our newest sites. The light, open plan studios have been occupied since June 2016, and this will be the first time we are opening up the space to the public. We are filling the brand new, ground floor spaces with local upcoming designers and makers looking to benefit from working in a shared space.

There are seven self contained studios of approximately 400 square feet / 35 square metres each, plus a larger divided space with 4 spaces of a similar size.

Open House: Rum Factory - 13.00 - 17.00
This historic listed building has tons of character, which has only been built on since 100 artists and designers with Bow Arts have moved into this workspace.

Now St George City are opening up the vaults in the basement of the building during our Open House Weekend - see more here:

Open House: St Katharine's ArtSpace - 12.00 - 17.00

There will be an artists led workshop by Kay Kwon on making your own notebook - make and take away on the day!

these will be held at 12pm to 1pm and 1.30pm to 2.30pm

also -join us at 15.00 for the launch of Robson Cezar’s new commission titled ‘Sweet Simple Old Place’.
Bow Arts artist, Robson Cezar has taken up residence at St Katharine's throughout July and August to create a large scale mural for St Katharine's Precint. Robson makes spectacular pictures from humble bottletops; his residency is coming to an end with a grand unveiling on Saturday 17th September. Robson’s work is situated next to the Yurt Cafe which will be open all day serving brunch, homemade cakes and wide selection of drinks and cocktails.

Open House: Old Manor Park Library - 13.00 - 17.00

The Grade II listed building situated in Newham is an exciting project with the aim of breathing new life into the old public library, opening it up to the surrounding community. Reopening in 2011, Bow Arts and Create London teamed up to provide affordable studio space for a range of artists, across fine art, making and performance, connecting the residents with the local community.

The Open House provides a great opportunity for the public to have a sneak peak at the historic architecture, glimpses of the artists studios, and the public space: The Rabbit’s Road Institute.

**Please note that we won't be opening up artists studios as an 'Open Studio' for this years Open House, but there will be an opportunity to see the artists studios at a later date.
