Tall Tales of the Kitchen Kelpies’ Soup is an exhibition which summons artists speculating about a chaotic future where an anthropocentric world view is outdated by a new hierarchy of the mater.
Articulated by the extravagant voices of the Kitchen Kelpies, singing of things past and in the future to come, placing humanity on a geological timescale and beyond. Join the Kitchen Kelpies on their endeavour for alphabet soup meaning as they rearrange the letters to spell out dreams of doom, destruction and disaster.
The exhibition comprises of an opening show with performances, talks and film screenings. Over the course of the week join in the activities as we invite members of the public to alter the exhibition space and metamorphose it into something new.
