Description:

PPA Cover:

Option 1 – One visiting artist leading a number of class groups across nominated PPA days, releasing staff individually for their dedicated PPA time.

Option 2 – A group of artists, with varied specialisms (drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, photography etc.), leading different class groups simultaneously on a dedicated day, releasing staff for joint year group or phase PPA time. Artists can be rotated half termly or termly to provide a varied and progressive programme of skills development across the year.

Planned Supply Cover:

One-off planned supply days covered by specialist artists – providing an inspiring and specialist cover solution.

Longer-term, planned supply cover with a specialist visiting artist working with groups on scheduled days.

Illustrative Outputs:

  • One-off or regular artist-led workshop sessions (releasing teaching staff for PPA or planned cover i.e. training courses)
  • Shared year group or phase planning, preparation and assessment time
  • Creation of high quality original artworks – 2D, 3D, digital works etc.
  • Larger scale, class collaborative projects – resulting in new artworks for school display
  • Creative projects linked to class topics – making cross-curricular learning accessible
  • Exhibitions or displays of children’s work

Project Costs:

From £270 + materials (for one-off cover days)
From £270 + materials per day (up to three class groups) / £2,700 per term + materials
Costs vary dependent on the number of class groups, workshop days or sessions and may be reduced for multiple year groups or terms.
