The Lounge

A project space and breakout room for the artist studios in Camden, The Lounge is a space to bring ideas and test out new work. From exhibitions to coffee mornings, it’s a place dedicated to cultivating artist community.

The Lounge is a project space on the ground floor of Bow Arts artist studios in Camden.

The creation of The Lounge is an acknowledgement that artists need space to creatively experiment; if you have a wacky idea, we say: try it! Artists can decorate the space to make it comfortable and their own. Test out hanging work; bring in furniture—you name it! The stakes are low, and (almost) everything is possible.

FAQs

Can I visit The Lounge?

While The Lounge is a closed space for the use of Camden’s studio artists, we do open the room up for locals to visit on our Community Coffee Mornings.

The exhibitions on display are by appointment; please get in touch with the artist to arrange viewing.

What is the Camden project?

An initial pilot scheme started in 2022, Bow Arts adopted 17 flats to provide 39 workspaces for creative practitioners, repurposing flats deemed “uninhabitable” due to disruption caused by ongoing HS2 development into some of the most affordable workspaces in London.

If you have any further questions about the space, get in touch with Community Engagement Co-ordinator Sophie Howie at showie@bowarts.com
