Join artist and exhibition curator Lucy Harrison on a guided tour of nearby working printing firm Aldgate Press to learn about their rich history. Aldgate Press was established in 1981 as the printers for anarchist publishers Freedom Press and is still a workers’ co-operative. Don’t miss this rare opportunity for a tour of a historic working printing press.
This event is part of the Lightboxes & Lettering event programme, which celebrates the fascinating and important history of east London’s print industry, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Booking is essential for this free event as space is limited. Meet in the Nunnery Gallery where the tour will begin, from which we’ll be walking around 15 minutes to Aldgate Press.
