Using vibrant watercolour pencils, join artist Katka Krajči to create your own unique drawings with playful mark-making — scribbles, swirls and freehand doodles. With a little water, those drawings will transform into colourful, swirling masterpieces where the lines blur and new shapes begin to emerge. Open to children and families of all ages – all materials provided.
From creating beautiful, abstract canvas, children will dive deeper into their imagination, discovering hidden images and adding new layers with bold ink lines and more watercolour pencils. We’ll also introduce the magical technique of wax resist, where crayons create striking contrasts, blocking the watercolour to reveal unexpected patterns.
This workshop celebrates creativity, spontaneity and the joy of trying out with new and accessible materials. Children will leave with unique, layered artworks — and the confidence to see art in everything around them!
This event is an inclusive, friendly environment which is accessible to all abilities and age groups.
Bow Families is a series of free, drop-in family art workshops that take place on the last Sunday of every month in the Bow Arts Courtyard. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for local families to get creative and try something new! Each session is led by a Bow Arts’ Artist and all materials are provided.
