Bow Families: making your own potato people with Carlos Cortes

Sunday 29th January 2023 , 11:00am to 1:00pm

Bow Families is a series of free, drop-in family art workshops that take place on the last Sunday of every month in the Bow Arts Courtyard. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for local families to get creative and try something new! Each session is led by a Bow Arts’ Artist and all materials are provided.

The Museum of Potato People and artist Carlos Cortes invite you to come and make your very own Potato People!

Potatoes come in all shapes and sizes – some are round, some are small, some are bumpy, and some are strangely shaped. In this workshop, we’ll be using these peculiar veggies as our starting point, telling stories and building fun characters using a range of fun, crafty materials.

Makers will also get the opportunity to showcase their potato people on The Museum of Potato People’s Instagram account, spreading the word about their new creations with other potato people makers from all over the place!

This event is an inclusive, friendly environment which is accessible to all abilities and age groups.
