Artist, curator and gal-dem founding member Leyla Reynolds will be joining us to talk about her artist selection for this year’s Bow Open Show, expanding on her title Aboutface: regroup, reorganise, reimagine. Open late for First Thursday, this is also a chance to view the celebrated 2021 Bow Open after hours as part of Whitechapel’s First Thursdays.
Please book a ticket to secure a seat at this event – although please note if those with booked seats don’t turn up by 7pm we will give seats to walk-ins on the evening.
The Nunnery Cafe will be open late to serve drinks and refreshments throughout the evening.

About Leyla Reynolds
Leyla Reynolds is an artist, curator and founding member of gal-dem magazine. She has worked with clients including Black Girl Fest, BBC, Adidas, Greater London Assembly and Tate. Her work has been exhibited at the V&A. As part of her work, she has appeared on numerous panels, chaired live events and debated on national TV. She was a judge in the editorial category of the World Illustration Awards 2019.

Nunnery Gallery has step-free access throughout from street level, including to the accessible toilet, and is service animal friendly. This venue does not have a hearing loop system.
