How can we embed practices of care and inclusion into our artistic work? How can we work collaboratively with creative practitioners to navigate the most complex industry and social challenges? What are the strategies for building thriving organisations?
Using these questions as their springboard, Hidden Keileon co-founders will begin by unpacking the formation of their collective and the ethos that underpins their work.
They will speak to the importance of horizontal collaboration that helps create non-hierarchical working environments and foster accessible peer-to-peer spaces. They will share their collective expertise and experience to facilitate cross-disciplinary learning and exchange programmes in an inclusive setting.
They will answer key strategic questions on how they establish partnerships, and access funding and resources to undertake transformative community engagement initiatives through innovative arts and cultural strategies.
We will end the session workshoping ideas around collaborative practice, forming creative and artistic solutions to collective issues, and imagining ways we can move towards more liberated and interdependent futures for all through our practices.
This event will be held in our courtyard room space at Bow Arts Trust, 183 Bow Road, London E3 2SJ.
Concession rate applies to students, over 65s, under 18s, Bow Arts artists, National Art Pass members, and key workers.
More about Hidden Keileon CIC
Hidden Keileon is a collective of six multidisciplinary artists, strategists, thinkers, researchers and curators focused on making change.
Registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC), they collaborate with people from migrant and queer communities like themselves to imagine futures with justice and freedom for all. They dream up and lead community building and life-affirming cultural projects across the UK and beyond.
Their name ‘Hidden Keileon’, is inspired by a mythical symbol of hope, reflecting their commitment to amplifying the stories and cultures of overlooked communities. They make the unseen seen, the unheard heard, and the unimagined a reality.
