The afternoon will begin with a short, introductory talk.

Firstly, we will introduce the three types of bees, their conservation, and decline, and how we can help them by creating habitat in our gardens throughout the year.

We will then introduce the most common and the rarest bumblebee species which you can find locally around Thamesmead.

After the talk, follow us for a serene walk around the Ridgeway and local area to search for bumblebees! We will be using nets and pots to get personal with the bumblebees, and catch the opportunity for a closer look.
