An exhibition of more than thirty artworks in two and three-dimensions, HACK 8558 lifts its name from 125 Shaftesbury Avenue’s 8th floor office space named after astrophysicist Margherita Hack and the asteroid to which she gave her name.
Private View | 7th March 6PM – 8PM
Exhibition Open | 7 – 9th March & 15 -16 March 12PM – 5PM (Sat & Sun)
Artist-teachers Siobhan Tate & Marq Kearey bring together 29 artists over two artist collectives to produce an exhibition to mark the end of their time in residence at Shaftesbury Avenue.
This exhibition showcases a conversation between works in two and three-dimensions. The WIT Collective (standing for What Is That) predominantly presents sculpture, spanning a diverse range of mediums and scales, exploring complex emotional landscapes and what it means to be human today. Darren O’Brien and Marq Kearey curate a vigorous collection of objects and paintings. Playing in space, the works form a cluster of imagined experiences, expressed in two-dimensions.
