Curator of the 2017 Bow Open Show Alex Chinneck invites us into his world with Gallery Co-Director Sophie Hill. Uniting the disciplines of art, architecture, theatre and engineering, the work of British sculptor Alex Chinneck is monumental in ambition and impact, producing contextually responsive interventions that amplify and animate the place in which they stand.
This talk will be held in the Nunnery Gallery giving you the chance to explore the 2017 Bow Open Show in which Chinneck had selected the work of 19 Bow Arts artists. His is a playful selection focusing on shape and includes painting, photography and works on paper, with work that encompasses the very current themes of politics, consumption and the longing for simpler things.

Uniting the disciplines of art, architecture, theatre and engineering, the work of British sculptor Alex Chinneck is monumental in ambition and impact, producing contextually responsive interventions that amplify and animate the place in which they stand. Chinneck is a graduate of Chelsea College of Art and a Board Member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors. His work has been featured extensively by international media with selected projects welcoming over one million visitors.
