The Nunnery Gallery will host an exhibition of works by Mathew Weir, Lizzie Cannon & Felicity Hammond who have responsed to the 18th Century Bow porcelain collection. The factory was just several hundred yards from the Nunnery Gallery and was of world-wide significance to the development of ceramic art history. This exhibition will bring rarely seen pieces from the London Borough of Newham archive into the Nunnery Gallery and place the contemporary responses alongside.
This project has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and supported by London Borough of Newham.
