Jo Wood
“jdwoof (aka Jo Wood, she/her) is a self-taught artist, exploring ways to connect to herself, to other humans and to her environment, to better understand her experiences and support herself in challenging times. She primarily uses found materials and things that would otherwise be thrown away. This is because she thinks there is enough ‘stuff’ out there for us to be inspired by and use without new things needing to be made or bought. She says “there is so much opportunity and possibility if we can notice it – in our own bodies, in conversations, in rubbish we find – so my practice is often helping myself be in the state where I can do that noticing.” miss wood for the trees

Olga Szynkarczuk
A visual artist and fashion designer. She studied Graphic Design at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts and drawing, painting, and photography at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, Canada. She is a BFA graduate of the Fashion Design Department at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Fine Arts: Digital at UAL Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. In her work, she uses tools such as pencils, charcoal, dry pastels, colored pencils, oil pastels, and acrylic markers. She focuses on the dynamics of human movement, using color depth to depict suggestive, energetic changes in pose. Her works stand out for their exploration of the relationship between the body and space, as well as the unique dynamism of movement expressed through subtle variations in line intensity and color, reflecting the complexity of human emotions. Her works have been exhibited in Canada, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Poland. https://www.olgaszynkarczuk.com

Atelier Six Art
Atelier Six Art is a mixed media artist and poet whose work moves between visual and written forms. She explores the intersections of the natural world, the female body, and lived emotion through painting, text, and material experimentation. Her current ongoing series, The Female Journey, examines female identity and reproductive experience as both personal and collective narratives. Alongside her poetry collection The Blood Diaries, she is developing a new art installation for 2026 that continues her exploration of the embodied and mythic feminine. https://www.ateliersixart.com

Eleanor Burkett
I have been working from a studio in Old Manor Park Library for several years now. I use textile, paper and print processes interchangeably in my work. They are often a contemporary response to techniques honed during 3 years living in Fukushima and Tokyo, Japan. At the core of my practice is the hand-made and outcomes are process-led whether making paper, slashing and rolling paper ‘thread’, exploring script & print or shaping paper into three dimensional form. Robust, malleable or delicate, paper in all its forms is at the heart of my practice. http://www.eleanorburkett.com

Bernie Clarkson
As a fine art oil painter I’m constantly striving to develop and challenge myself in my practice. I generally paint women in some sort of landscape, an interior or exterior while adding a number of objects to suggest an environment or the figures state of mind. At the moment my project is Figure, Wallpaper, Textiles, which offers a wonderful opportunity for a rich tapestry of colour, detail, repetition and nature.

Kate Mayer
My work is a deeply emotional response to my surroundings, often influenced by sound. As a highly sensitive person, I am profoundly moved by words and melodies, channeling these emotions into my art. Though my outer world may feel chaotic, painting allows me to enter a flow state, transcending conscious thought. Through my work, I aim to guide others toward a deeper connection, encouraging them to feel present and inspired. Ultimately, I hope my art helps people tap into a higher state of being, moving beyond the surface to discover new energies within themselves. Kate Mayer Art

Anita McCullough
As Anita works across various media, including double-exposure photography, collage, woodblock printmaking, watercolours and abstract painting, her output can be hard to pin down. She feels no need to restrict herself to any category and takes materials and visual stimuli as they come. Her inspiration is derived from the revelatory and the obscure. She makes acute observations in London’s heritage and natural spaces and you’ll find her Instagram account @snowpicnic002 replete with urban and garden sightings, travel sketches and works from her artistic archive of more than 45 years.

Hilary Douse
““Playing with paint” is how Hilary likes to describe her process. If she has an initial notion of what she wants to achieve on the canvas; the paint usually has other ideas! She is always excited to see what happens and assess if it has worked or not. For many years she worked with children and envied their ability to experiment and be free with their materials. She is very keen to see art in the community and curates shows in the local area alongside doing her own work.”

Leah Lovett
As a researcher in Connected Environments trained in social arts practices (PhD, Slade School of Art, 2019), I apply creative methods to interdisciplinary projects with academic collaborators and partners to address issues of social and environmental justice. Recent projects have explored using thermochromic materials to alert people to the risks of urban heatwaves, and weaving as a method to help economic theorists think differently about relationships to land and its collective development. A collaboration with Andy Hudson Smith, Tellus Mater (2023) compares AI language models to formal gardens, as powerful ways of imagining and representing the world.
