Bow Families: sculpt your own Personal Treasure with Hernán Guardamagna

Sunday 30th June 2024 , 11:00am to 1:00pm

Working with clay and paint, join us for a hands on workshop with fashion and footwear designer Hernán Guardamagna. Open to children and families of all ages – all materials provided!

Connecting to the theme of ‘A Personal Treasure’, this year’s Bow Open show selected by Lindsey Mendick, come along to create miniature sculptures inspired by a personal treasure.

Come feeling inspired as we encourage children to play with clay and create artworks that could take many forms, such as the recreation of their favourite toy, a sculpture of their pet, or a portrait of a loved one!

This event is an inclusive, friendly environment which is accessible to all abilities and age groups.

Bow Families is a series of free, drop-in family art workshops that take place on the last Sunday of every month in the Bow Arts Courtyard. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for local families to get creative and try something new! Each session is led by a Bow Arts’ Artist and all materials are provided.

Free Drop in – all are welcome!

More about Hernán Guardamagna

Hernan Guardamagna is a London-based footwear designer and maker. Recently, he has delved into the art world as an Artist Educator, sharing his passion for arts and design.

Hernan founded his eponymous footwear brand, which focuses on modern shoes defined by bold silhouettes, geometric shapes, and elements of craftsmanship and futurism.

Recycling and upcycling are two strong pillars of Hernan Guardamagna’s work; thus, many of the workshops he runs centre around customisation, repurposing, or using waste to make art.
