Teacher CPD: Beyond Patterns with Jasmin Bhanji & the Aga Khan Centre
Wednesday 3rd June 2026 , 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Join artist educator Jasmin Bhanji at the Aga Khan Centre in King’s Cross to explore Islamic art and culture in your curriculum.

Delivered in partnership with Aga Khan Centre, this workshop will explore how to include Islamic art and culture in school curricula and how teachers can use the Kings Cross-based centre and exhibition programme as a teaching resource.
The session will include a tour of the centre, a curator introduction to the exhibition, ‘Canticle of the Birds’ with curator Esen Kaya, and a creative activity with artist educator Jasmin Bhanji.
This workshop is part of a two-year curriculum development project led by Jasmin on creating diverse art and design curriculum which is representative of our school communities.
This workshop is fully funded by Paul Hamlyn Foundation and is free to attend, but booking is essential.
