Teacher CPD: Making Mistakes Matter with Emma Jacobs
Wednesday 29th April 2026 , 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Join artist educator Emma Jacobs in this workshop designed to help build resilience in learners through arts and design in the classroom.

This hands-on workshop addresses the “I’m not good at art” mindset that often hinders teaching and learning.
This workshop explores how the belief that we are “not good at art” shapes the way we teach and learn. By diverting attention away from outcomes and leaning into process, artist educator Emma Jacobs will share techniques to reframe making as a creative open-ended, exploratory act.
The workshop will consider how classrooms can become spaces where uncertainty is welcomed and mistakes are meaningful. Educators will leave with renewed confidence in facilitating art experiences that prioritise growth over perfection.
All materials are provided and refreshments are available.
