Teacher CPD: Mega-Zines with Francesca Telling

Explore zine-making techniques to empower student voice and inspire cross-curricular learning.

Discover how zine-making can engage students in their learning and support their emotional wellbeing in this practical session with artist educator Francesca Telling.  

Learn simple DIY publishing techniques that can help students with exploring their identities, finding community and feeling empowered in their voices and ideas.  

Through an accessible, low-pressure format, Francesca will share a range of creative activities to develop student’s skills in literacy, design, collaboration, reflection and self-expression – which you can adapt to all classrooms, ages and abilities. 
 
The workshop is open to all levels of experience. All materials will be provided.

Nearest station(s): Bow Road (District and Hammersmith and City lines) is a 6-minute walk away, and Bow Church (DLR) is a 3-minute walk away.

Bike: Bicycle parking is located at Bow Church Station. The nearest Santander Cycles docking station is at Bow Church Station. 

Accessibility: The Bow Arts Trust office has step-free access throughout from street level, including to the accessible toilet, and is service animal friendly. This venue does not have a hearing loop system. Accessible parking is not available on-site.
