Thamesmead Travelling Cinema

Join Thamesmead’s very own outdoor cinema this summer for their annual screening of A Clockwork Orange (1971).

The Thamesmead Travelling Cinema are back this summer with their annual screening of A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Stanley Kubrick.

Come early to secure a deckchair and have a drink on the Lakeside Marina where A Clockwork Orange was filmed!

Expect beer and popcorn, good vibes, clear skies from this award-winning open air micro cinema based in Thamesmead.

A Clockwork Orange (1971)

Alex, a psycopathic delinquent, is imprisoned for murder and rape. In order to reduce his sentence, he volunteers for an experimental therapy conducted by the government, but it goes askew.

Thamesmead Texas are proud to present A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Stanley Kubrick. The screening will take place at the Lakeside Centre, Thamesmead, which has been a backdrop for scenes from this iconic film.

You are invited to socialise with fellow film devotees from 7:30pm at the Thamesmead Texas Art Bar. The film will start at 9pm and closes at midnight. The run time for the film is 2 hours and 16 minutes.

The Thamesmead Travelling cinema is a 25-seater mobile outdoor community cinema made for the people of Thamesmead! Built using recycled materials, including almost 500 vinyl records, they launched in spring 2021 and now host seasonal screenings co-programmed for, by and with local residents from Thamesmead.
