A seasonal wildlife walk in Thamesmead with ornithological investigator J D Swann, with an emphasis on observation of birds, local ecology and history.

A seasonal wildlife walk in Thamesmead with ornithological investigator J D Swann, with emphasis on observation of birds, local ecology and history.
The walk will start by Southmere Lake outside Thamesmead Social café. The walk will loop around Birchmere Lake, Hawksmoor Park, and Butts Woods, past TUMP 53, and follow the canals of Thamesmead ending back at the cafe. WC’s and refreshments can be found at Thamesmead Social Café.
J D encourages participants to bring binoculars and cameras for documentation, and at the end there will be a review of what has been seen.
There will be J D Swann stamped notebooks available free for people who wish to document observations. If you have attended before, please bring your notebook.
This event is the third of three seasonal walks with J D Swann.

Access Information
The walk will go ahead apart from in extreme weather so please wear clothing and shoes appropriate for the conditions.
Thamesmead Social Cafe will be open on the day, providing wheelchair accessible toilets and access to baby change facilities. This building does not have access to a hearing loop.
