Join us to celebrate the closing weekend of Visions in the Nunnery with live performances from Gur Arie Piepskovitz, Irina Danilova & Hiram Levy and Tritotetartes and special screenings from Gabriel Andreu, Cristine Brache, Cinzia Cremona, Karoline Jeuffroy, Jamila Johnson-Small, Heidi Kilpeläinen, Ann-Marie Le Quesne and Mētra Saberova.
Visions final performance evening and closing party will present a provocative look at exhibitionism, shame, sex, feminism, frustration and emotions. Get in the party mood by contributing to the collective dining experience Dinner 59 by Irina Danilova & Hiram Levy, which invites audiences to “Open your recipe book at page 59, cook that dish and bring it to the Nunnery to share”. Tritotetartes will then provide a closing spectacular catwalk event led by a post-punk, post-internet, post-avant-garde drag queer collective from Greece.
Curated by Cinzia Cremona and Tessa Garland, Visions 2016 showcases over 100 international artists’ work through an innovative six-part programme, including artists Marina Abramović, Ori Gersht, Susan Hiller, Mikhail Karikis, Richard Layzell and Uriel Orlow. 12 events punctuate the programme, featuring live performances in the Gallery, Carmelite Café and Bow Arts’ unique Victorian enclosed courtyard.
