Rachel Davies & Daniel Saul
Winter 36’ 2018
Winter is a delicate and characterful portrait of Mandy King-Holmes, made in the last months of her life. Mandy is 50, lives in York, has two children and four dogs. She also has terminal lung cancer. This meditative film – created in widescreen triptych form – approaches the ways in which Mandy’s knowledge of time running out affects how she deals with the everyday, impacts upon her plans for the future, and stoical reflection on her own history.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Rachel and Daniel from 3.45pm, chaired by Nikki Tomlinson – Lead Artists’ Advisor / Producer for ArtsAdmin.
