As schools remain closed and the new school term begins with a return to online learning, we understand that teachers have had little time to adapt lessons for virtual teaching. Bow Arts Learning can help schools to continue their arts offer via online workshops. Our experienced team of Artist Educators can deliver online workshops to students, all of which are bespoke to individual schools’ needs.

Here are some ways that we can support schools during their closure:

Online CPD for teachers

Our Artist Educators lead live online sessions for groups of teachers to upskill your staff in art techniques or digital programmes. Our artists can deliver workshops in specific skills, or give you tips on how to teach art creatively online.

Online skills-based workshops

Our team of Artist Educators have a huge range of specialities and can work with your students to develop specific skills. This could be anything from observational drawing, to working in 3D or creating natural dyes. We can tailor our sessions to use only materials your students have in their homes.

Online topic-based arts projects

Our artists can develop workshops which work alongside your curriculum to encourage creative learning.

Recorded artists’ workshops

We can create bespoke recorded sessions that you can distribute to your students to complete in their own time. This can include an introductory presentation, a demonstration of an activity and suggested follow up activities.

Secondary/ A Level/ BTEC/ Exam support

We can offer portfolio support and individual student mentoring online. We ask that a Teaching Assistant or member of school staff attend online meetings.

Activity packs

We are aware that there is a digital divide in education and not all students will be able to access live or recorded online workshops. We can create and distribute activity packs for students to complete at home to ensure all students are staying creative whilst learning from home.

Once schools re-open we can offer blended and socially distanced learning, and deliver recorded or live online workshops straight to your classroom. To read more about how we have adapted to teaching in Covid times, please read our blog about the variety of projects we delivered last term.
