Kate Murray-Browne is a multi-disciplinary artist who works in painting, printing and textile, sharing a Bow Road studio with two other Bow artists. Murray-Browne sources broken or functionless objects as inspiration for her works: “The pieces squarely confront the uselessness of the object, while making something new from them – both memorialising and re-habilitating them, raising questions about memory and loss, and the ways we impress ourselves on the physical world”. Murray-Browne holds a degree in English Literature from Cambridge University and a degree in Foundation Studies from the Chelsea College of Art and Design.
There will be a celebratory launch on Wednesday 9 December 2015 6-9pm at Nunnery Gallery. Click here to RSVP
