RAW Labs is a community hub for Royal Albert Wharf, championing arts, culture and creativity with great coffee. The space is a key component of Bow Arts’ activity at Royal Albert Wharf, Newham, alongside 40 artist studios and a wider community and education programme. The space offers residents and visitors a changing programme of arts and cultural events and activities.
Over the next few months artist, printmaker and educator Jamie Temple will be artist in residence at RAW Labs, using the space to build and work from a temporary print studio with an exciting programme of hands on workshops and events. There will be plenty of opportunity to interact with Jamie as he develops new artwork, learn about his varied approaches to printmaking and sign up for workshops for all skill levels.
Our residency programme expands to connect and explore how arts and culture contribute to creating a sense of place at the heart of a newly formed neighbourhood. RAW Labs hosts regular classes, exhibitions and events alongside a café that is open to the public, currently on Fridays & Saturdays 12-10pm and Sundays 12-5:30pm.
