Courtyard Room

The Bow Arts Courtyard Room is a bright and airy informal meeting area, equipped with a kitchenette and two toilets.

The Courtyard Room features a flexible set up, including comfy sofas, an in-built TV screen, and floor to ceiling windows.

The Courtyard Room is enclosed in a private outdoor courtyard and is surrounded by artist studios, creating a multi-purpose space in a unique environment.

Availability:

The Courtyard Room is only available to hire outside of office hours, which are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Costs:

Commercial hire
£75 per hour, minimum 3 hours excl. 20% VAT
Day rate (8 hours): £500 excl. 20% VAT

Students, local residents, charitable enterprises and Bow Arts artists hires
£50 per hour, minimum 3 hours excl. 20% VAT
Day rate (8 hours): £350 excl. 20% VAT

An additional keyholder charge applies, paid at London Living Wage – £13.85 per hour (2025)

The Nunnery Café next door are able to offer catering services and will work closely with you to to ensure the food and drinks for your event meet your preferences. Whether you’re planning a small gathering or a larger celebration, the café will provide a personalized experience that suits your needs and tastes.

Is there a minimum or maximum hire duration?

Yes, minimum 3 hours for Courtyard and Courtyard Room hires.

What is the cancellation policy?

If the Hirer wishes to cancel the booking before the date of the event and Bow Arts is unable to conclude a replacement booking, the question of payment or the repayment of the fee shall be at the discretion of Bow Arts Management. Please contact us for the full cancellation policy.

What are the available parking options?

Free parking in the courtyard if there are no other events taking place at the same time.

Can I decorate the venue myself?

Yes, with prior written approval of Bow Arts Management. Any alteration, fixture or fitting or attachment so approved shall be at the discretion of Bow Arts to remain on the premises at the end of the hiring. It will become the property of Bow Arts unless removed by the hirer who must make good to the satisfaction of the Bow Arts or if any damage caused to the premises by such removal.
