Nestled in the heart of Bow, east London on Bow Arts Lane, The Nunnery Café offers distinctive venue hire space for your next event. Housed within a beautifully converted former convent, our venue combines historic character with modern flexibility.
The Space
Our adaptable café can be completely reconfigured to suit your needs – from intimate meetings and workshops to live performances, screenings, and private celebrations. The indoor space connects seamlessly to our unique outdoor area through a serving hatch and door, opening onto Bow Arts Lane and Grove Hall Park and enhanced by contemporary light installations.

Availability:
The Nunnery Café is open Tuesday to Saturday 8:30am-3pm and Sunday 9am-3pm.
The café is available for hire outside these times excluding days where it is being used for Nunnery Gallery Private Views or Private Hires.
The Nunnery Café is also available for hire during opening hours but will incur an additional charge to cover the closure of the space.

Costs:
During opening hours
£100 per hour for a minimum of three hours excl. 20% VAT
Outside opening hours
£75 per hour for a minimum of 2 hours excl. 20% VAT
£75 per hour with no minimum for students, local residents, charitable enterprises and Bow Arts artists excl. 20% VAT

Nearest train station(s): Bow Church (DLR), Bow Road Tube Station (District, Hammersmith and City Lines)

Parking: Resident parking can be found after 5pm Monday-Friday, free parking is available on the weekends.
Bike: There is a limited bicycle shed available onsite. The nearest bicycle parking is located at Bow Church Station. The nearest Santander Cycles docking station is at Bow Church Station.
