The Lab at Oaklands Rise has step-free access throughout from street level, including to the accessible toilet, and is service animal friendly. This venue does not have a hearing loop system.

We do allow pets at The Lab at Oaklands Rise, but please keep them on a lead.

We currently do not have access for a baby-change facility.

Access requirements could include things like providing equipment, services or support (e.g. information in Easy Read, speech to text software, additional 1:1 support), adjusting workshop timings (e.g. more break times), adjustments to the event space (e.g. making sure you have a table near the entrance) or anything else you can think of!

Venue Hire

Located in the heart of the Oaklands Rise development in North West London, Oaklands Social offers an affordable, private community space perfect for your next event. Formerly known as The Lab at Oaklands Rise, this established venue combines the warmth of a neighborhood café with the flexibility of a dedicated events space.

The Space

Our open-plan venue accommodates up to 81 guests in a versatile indoor setting. The layout can be completely reconfigured to suit your event needs, with 4 trestle tables and 25 foldable chairs that can be arranged however works best for your gathering. The private, intimate atmosphere makes it ideal for focused meetings, workshops, celebrations, and community events.

We’ve equipped the space with modern amenities to ensure your event runs smoothly:

  • Surround sound Sonos speaker system throughout the space, easily connected via WiFi
  • Small café bar facility for refreshments
  • Flexible furniture arrangement to match your vision
  • Established community venue with experienced event support

Food & Drink

Basic catering is available upon request for an additional fee, including:

  • Freshly brewed coffee and premium teas
  • Selection of homemade bakes and light refreshments

Availability:

Oaklands Social is open to the public 10am-4pm from Thursday to Sunday. Venue hire is available from 8am – 8pm and will incur an additional key holder charge.

Venue hire is available during opening hours, however an additional charge will incur to cover the closure of the space.

Costs:

During opening hours
£75 per hour excl. 20% VAT

Outside opening hours
£30 per hour excl. 20% VAT
£20 per hour for students, local residents, charitable enterprises and Bow Arts artists excl. 20% VAT

A key holder charge will apply for hires outside of opening hours.

Day rate
£130 per hour excl. 20% VAT
