This year the artists, designers and makers in the Rum Factory will be opening up their studios for you to see on Saturday 20th May!
In this amazing historic building, they are now part of the next stage in it's rich heritage. Alongside the opportunity to see their workspaces there will be film screenings, artist led workshops, an exhibition in our Project Space, and the opportunity to buy artwork directly from the artist!
This site has been through big changes since it's first planning! From the use as a warehouse for rum, brandy and wine, to its closure in 1969 due to the bombings after WW2 and re-opening with News International in 1986. Now this building has been transformed yet again into 79 artist studios. Practitioners on this site range from fine art painters, sculptors, graphic designers, conceptual artists, theatre production, fashion design and more! You can see our artist profiles here. Please see below for details on specific events, and check out our Facebook Page for more updates!
