The Annual Programme is a skills-based arts programme that progresses term by term across the year. It is tailored to your school priorities and delivered by professional practising artists. We can work with a targeted learner group, year group or key stage.

Each term can be run as a discrete art programme or can be integrated into your topics to make cross-curricular learning inspiring and accessible for all of your learners. Each term has a different skills focus, but the themes, topics or outputs are tailored to your needs.

Example Programme:

Term 1 – Drawing

Materials: Chalk pastels, graphite sticks, charcoal, chalk, pen and ink, pencils

Processes: Shading, observation, tone, perspective, drawing large scale and filling the page

Term 2 – Painting or Mixed Media

Materials: Watercolours, acrylics, poster paint / collage (drawing, photography and found imagery)

Processes: Colour mixing, observation, tone, perspective, collaboration, scale / photography, scanning, image manipulation, design, layout, communicating ideas

Term 3 - Sculpture

Materials: Clay, paper, card, plaster, modroc, recycled objects / found materials

Processes: Construction, form, combining materials; casting, moulding, recycling, changing objects, matching visual and tactile qualities of materials to the purpose of their work

Illustrative Outputs:

  • Artist-led workshop sessions in school
  • Practical artist-led staff meeting
  • Artwork produced for display in the school and to be taken home by pupils
  • Teaching resources created for use in future years

Project Costs:

From £1,425 + materials per term (based on 5 workshop days @ £270 + £75 planning meeting)

Costs vary dependant on the number of class groups, workshop days or sessions
