Bow Families: making wearable body parts and creating surrealist exquisite corpses with Nicola McEvoy
Sunday 26th October 2025 , 11:00am to 1:00pm
Join transdisciplinary artist Nicola McEvoy for a playful collaborative making workshop to become our own Frankenstein creations! Using accessible materials such as recycled fabrics, cardboard cutouts and foam, we’ll be making wearable body parts and creating surrealist exquisite corpses. Open to children and families of all ages – all materials provided.

Tying in with Bow Arts’ Visions programme, we’ll use real time video capturing and mixing software to perform as our own bizarre bodies in a glitchy world. Open to children and families of all ages – all materials provided.
In this workshop, children will learn new skills in costume making and collage that responds to live video performance, as well as engaging in a highly collaborative making session.
This event is an inclusive, friendly environment which is accessible to all abilities and age groups.
Bow Families is a series of free, drop-in family art workshops that take place on the last Sunday of every month in the Bow Arts Courtyard Room. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for local families to get creative and try something new! Each session is led by a Bow Arts’ Artist and all materials are provided.
