Bow Families: make a tissue paper ‘stained glass’ suncatcher with Lucia Ferguson

Sunday 28th January 2024 , 11:00am to 1:00pm

Catch the crisp wintery sun with artist and educator Lucia Ferguson as we make our own ‘stained glass’ suncatchers inspired by the nature around us, using coloured tissue paper and paper frames.

Light and shadows can be used as fun materials to create amazing artworks that change as the day goes by. In this workshop, we will learn how to cut out paper frames in nature-inspired shapes and silhouettes, before collaging different coloured tissue paper to create our own ‘stained glass’ artworks we can hang up at home.

In this workshop, children will learn how to cut, paste, collage, and use light to create hanging artworks.

This event is an inclusive, friendly environment which is accessible to all abilities and age groups.

Bow Families is a series of free, drop-in family art workshops that take place on the last Sunday of every month in the Bow Arts Courtyard. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for local families to get creative and try something new! Each session is led by a Bow Arts’ Artist and all materials are provided.

Free Drop in workshop – all are welcome
