Building an organic community and presenting yourself and your practice in a way that really reflects who you are an artist can be a difficult thing to grapple with – especially in our increasingly online world.

To kick things off, Jess will encourage attendees to reflect on your current relationship with social media, working through guided writing prompts and mapping exercises to build out your own ‘content pillars’ which you can use as a framework to ideate and create consistent, engaging content for social media that speaks to your followers.

She will then deep dive into Instagram for artists specifically, breaking down how to navigate the algorithm and get your work seen, craft your unique online presence, and convert creativity into online sales and work.

We will also quickly touch upon newsletters, why you might want one, the best platforms to set one up on, and how to build engagement and an audience through them.

Throughout the session, artists will be encouraged to build out their workbooks – which will be sent in advance of the event – allowing them to leave the workshop with an initial plan and ‘brand bible’ which can be actioned right away!

The workshop will end with a dedicated 45-minute group coaching session where Jess will tackle specific questions and scenarios sent in and suggested from attendees to provide actionable guidance on what to do next.

In this workshop you will:

  • Leave with an actionable plan and draft ‘brand bible’ which you can action right away
  • Learn the fundamentals of creating engaging content and
  • Gain an understanding of how to use Instagram to build visibility and an online audience as an artist
  • Discover how to engage current and new audiences with newsletters and how to set one up
  • Connect with other artists and practitioners

This is an online workshop held via Zoom. All attendees will be sent the Zoom joining link closer to the time of the workshop.
