Curious about creative coding and how to use digital elements and computational graphics to enhance the design of your artist website?
In this playful and low-stakes introductory workshop, Rifke Sadleir will give us a 101 on the basics of creative coding and experimentation, enabling you to build your confidence in programming languages and start to think through their possibilities in modifying and adding your mark on your artist website.
Rifke will kick things off with a run through of the p5.js coding framework – a creative coding language which artists can use to code, without the need for downloading new programmes or any prior knowledge of coding more broadly. She will then walk us through a code along in which we will explore how to create simple digital activations to enhance the user experience of a website or online space.
This workshop is interactive and will enable you to practically explore the possibilities of p5.js to create animations and interactions, in a supportive environment with other artists.
