Lakeside Garden Club: Foraging Walk with Kevin Godby
Saturday 1st November 2025 , 11:00am to 1:00pm
Kevin Godby returns for a second guided foraging walk around the South Thamesmead Garden Estate area for the Lakeside Garden Club.
Foraging is a great way to learn informally about what wild and cultivated plants are edible, as well as some of the history and folklore associated with them. Starting from the Lakeside Centre, participants will enjoy a gentle walk that invites them to reconnect with nature in a whole new way.
South East London has a fantastic array of parks and open spaces, and foraging is an exciting way to connect with nature in a social setting while treating the environment with respect. Discover how your hunter-gatherer ancestors once explored the land, foraging for edible plants and connecting deeply with their surroundings.
Please Note: as this is a nature walk, we advise wearing suitable footwear and preparing for the weather. The walk will go ahead in the event of weather conditions.
This event is produced alongside Groundwork London, in partnership with Peabody.
