Risograph Printing a Zine with Chloe Cooper
Saturday 18th July 2026 , 11:00am to 1:00pm
Inspired by comic strips from Thamesmead’s newspapers, join artist Chloe Cooper for a series of two workshops that demonstrate how to create your own comic, and then turn it into a zine.

For our second workshop, local residents and visitors are invited to TACO’s print studio to create a zine that brings together everyone’s comic strips.
We will learn to use the risograph printer, bone folder, paper trimmer and saddle stitcher to print and bind our own zines, inspired by ‘Fred’s Gardening Diary’, the gardening-based comic strip that graced many editions of our local newspaper the Thamesmead Times in the early 90s.
All materials provided – no experience in comic strip creation or gardening is necessary! This workshop is for all ages, and is young-person and family-friendly. Please note:
This workshop is delivered in partnership with TACO! Book a place at our first workshop here. If you can no longer make the event, please reach out to let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone else.
Location: TACO! Print Studio, 30 Poplar Place, Thamesmead, SE28 8BB
